Born and raised in Scarborough, Ontario, Joshua Obra is an actor and writer with a passion for storytelling and a commitment to growth. He is the founder of Break2Legs, a platform dedicated to providing up-and-coming actors with essential resources, educational programming, and other opportunities to kickstart or enhance their acting journey.

Obra has refined his craft through film, commercial and tv productions, content creation, and intensive acting workshops. As a fresh face in the industry, he approaches every opportunity with enthusiasm and a determination to leave a lasting impression on audiences and fellow artists alike.

In 2021, Obra appeared in the feature film Scarborough, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) to rave reviews. He later returned to TIFF with a lead performance in Express (2023).

You can watch him right now on the Canadian Screen Award consideration, Settle Down Series (2025), and in Season 3 of the Amazon Prime favourite, Reacher. He returns to the film circuit later this year as Shay in Sunburn (2026), a film about two best friends roaming their neighborhood during a massive power outage.
